The 11th International Conference on Sustainable Development in the Minerals Industry (SDIMI 2024) was held in Torino, Italy, from July 9 to 11, 2024.

Initiated in 2003 with the Milos Declaration, the conference aimed to promote the sustainable use of minerals through scientific, technical, educational, and research skills.

Our team from MaDiTraCe PROJECT made significant contributions:

  • Paulina Fernandez-Muñoz from Montanuniversität Leoben, presented an insightful overview of our project and our integrated and holistic global traceability framework WP1.
  • Thania Nowaz from DMT GROUP explored the dimensions of transparency in mineral supply chains through the lens of Chain of Custody WP4.

The event provided a global platform for sharing knowledge and experiences and highlighted Torino's cultural and scientific heritage.

We were proud of the impactful discussions and the opportunity to share our advancements with industry leaders and fellow researchers.
